Gauze pads are individually packaged and highly absorbent. They are packaged in handy dispenser boxes for convenient handling. It can be useful in blood collection as they provide a clean surface to apply pressure to the venipuncture site once the needle has been removed. They can also be used to absorb and clean up any small blood drops if any leaks have occurred during tube changing.
